Bolton Wanderers Vs Brentford: Preview

Monday 30th November, 19:45, Macron Stadium

Another week another loss. In the brief interlude between takeover talk, we capitulated in Coyle-esq fashion against Reading; final score 2-0. Since that game Wanderers have had over a week to prepare for this home game against Brentford. They sit 11th in the league where as we sit…well, last. The Monday night fixture will hopefully kick off our play-off push and deliver our second win in over 9000 games.

Team News:

Bolton Wanderers

No new additions on loan deadline day for us…shocking. No word on any of the long term absentees yet but no fresh concerns from the last game either. Lennon talked of his anger at the senior players for being so meh last week and every week for the last three years. Could see the likes of Pratley, Danns and Spearing dropped.

Brentford

Lee Carsley remains in charge of Brentford as they are yet to appoint a manager. No sweeping changes expected to the side that beat Forest 2-1. They too had no new faces before the loan window shut.

Prediction

Despite not winning an awful lot...well just once at home we have had draws-a-plenty. Brentford are between managers and don’t boast a goal scorer in the same vein as Reading did. I think we actually have a decent shot of a win here. But sod being optimistic. 1-1
