Local News: Ladybridge FC Recruiting New Players

Are you or any of your friends or family members interested in getting involved with local grassroots football club in Bolton? Ladybridge Football Club are offering a great opportunity for participation at various levels suitable for any age or ability.

Ladybridge Football Club are currently looking for new players to make up 3 new teams for the upcoming 2015-16 season.

Under 15s - Tameside or ELFA League ( both high level Sunday leagues )
Under 17s - North West Youth Alliance League ( Sunday )
Under 18s - LFA midweek Floodlit league  ( Midweek - tbc)

Training and matches will take place at Tempest Road, Lostock and will be played on the club's newly laid 3G pitch. In September 2013 the club undertook a huge project to install a state of the art 3G pitch which has proved to be a huge success so far.

Founded in 1989 the club boasts a proud history of success and development for junior players in the local borough. Involvement with the club can offer opportunities for players to improve their confidence, technique, agility, balance and coordination or be on a pathway to academy football. Many former Ladybridge juniors have progressed to join professional academies and play at a high non-league level and even in some cases the football league!

In recent years the club has had the highly rated young goalkeeper, William Jaaskelainen, on the books who is currently in the first year of his scholarship at Bolton Wanderers. He is one of many footballers who are currently at an academy due to having spent time with Ladybridge.

The club is lucky to have an extremely passionate and ambitions chairman that is Steve Hill. After working under the legendary Nat Lofthouse at Bolton Wanderers, Steve had a successful career in accountancy which later saw him establish the football club in 1989.

Steve has worked tirelessly to improve the standards of the club and has exciting plans for the club's future. Steve's commitment and dedication combined with the club's hardworking volunteers makes Ladybridge a great place to enjoy your football whilst improving.

The club is in the process of organising and installing 6 state of the art telescopic floodlights which would furthermore improve the facilities at the club's Lostock base. With further clubhouse developments and a stand in the pipeline it's an extremely exciting time to be involved with the football club.

Any players from these 3 new teams will have the opportunity to migrate to the club's senior team, who are currently playing in the West Lancashire Football League on a Saturday afternoon. This is a very prestigious league and a great opportunity for anyone who takes their football seriously.

If you are aged between 14-18 or you know any friends or family members who would be interested then please do not hesitate to contact Steve. You find him by e-mail (ladybridge.fc.21@hotmail.co.uk) or contact him via his mobile (07931 353870).

If you are not aged 14-18 and are interested in joining the club then don't worry, there will be a team that suits your age or ability. If you want to get involved with the club whether it be playing for them or even volunteering then please get in touch with Steve.
