So, this is happening:
It looks like Bolton Wanderers and South Korea midfielder Chung-Yong Lee has arrived at the Crystal Palace training ground for contract negotiations. It had been reported in several places, including here on Lion of Vienna Suite over a week ago, that the clubs have agreed a fee to be somewhere between £1.25 and £1.5 million initially, raising to as much as £ 2.5 million if certain conditions are met.
It has also been reported that earlier contract talks between Lee's representatives and Crystal Palace broke down over wage demands. Another rumour making the rounds is that Palace player Barry Bannan will be going in the other direction on a loan deal for the rest of the season.
I don't know whether Bolton will end up signing anyone when all is said and done, but if they don't, it certainly will not be for lack of effort.
