Surprising news came out of the Macron Stadium this afternoon, as it was revealed that Bolton Wanderers had signed young Liverpool midfielder, Jordan Lussey, on loan until the end of the season.
The 20-year old has been at the Merseyside club since 2002 and rose through the ranks all the way to traveling with the first team squad for the away leg against Beskitas, in the Europa League, last month.
He also spent time as captain of the Liverpool u21 side last season.
The youngster is known for being able to play various positions across the midfield, his box-to-box playing style, a wide range of passing and the ability to score fro midfield, although, he has been known to find it tough against harder opposition.
I'm sure we all find it rather peculiar that Neil Lennon has added yet another midfielder to his already unbalanced squad, but I sense that this signing will be a "Andy Robinson" situation.
Lussey is out of contract with Liverpool at the end of the season, so I imagine he will spend the rest of the season here in the development squad, before joining permanently on a free in the summer.
Here's hoping he just doesn't leave a few weeks later like Robinson did.
