Mid-table mediocrity will b eon display at the Macron Stadium once again as 17th-placed Bolton Wanderers host 11th-placed Charlton Athletic on a rainy Tuesday night in April. I must confess, I have no idea if it will actually be rainy, but it seems like a good bet, and anyway, you get the point.
Bolton have the usual injury woes, with one or two possible returns. Mark Davies was on the bench on Saturday, and is likely to feature in some way against the Addicks. Matt Mills is struggling with an ankle injury, and missed out against Norwich City. I can't see him returning for this one either. We all know Craig Davies is out for the season, and Darren Pratley's rumored late season return has had a setback.Other than that, it's the usual suspects for Neil Lennon:
Adam Bogdan
Paddy McCarthy Dorian Dervite Tim Ream
Saidy Janko Neil Danns Josh Vela Rochinha Costa Rocha Dean Moxey
Adam Le Fondre Emile Heskey
As you can see, I think Lennon will revert to the 3-5-2 formation against a Charlton side that hasn't posed a big scoring threat for most of the season. Janko and Moxey as wing backs could be quite effective, and I think most of us would love to see Rochinha given another chance. As for the final score, I will stay pessimistic. 1-1, with another late goal conceded by the Trotters.
