The Sun have reported this morning that Barry Bannan and Neil Danns have been removed from Bolton Wanderers' match day squad after an incident which occurred at the club's London based hotel.

The team were staying overnight in preparation for today's game against Brentford at Griffin Park, however the pair are set to miss the game for 'disciplinary reasons'.

Manager Neil Lennon has reportedly cracked down on a breach of his strict code of conduct after reports of their behaviour at the club's hotel, however there has been no official confirmation or statement regarding these rumours.

Journalist Alan Nixon added fuel to the fire this morning by tweeting,

"there will be a couple of surprise absentees from Bolton side today. More details later"

Nixon later stated how the midfield duo will ostensibly miss the match due to 'disciplinary reasons'.

Bolton Wanderers fans will have to wait until around 2pm to see whether these rumours are true or not when the official team sheet is released.

Kick off at Griffin Park is at 3pm GMT.
