Cardiff City vs Bolton Wanderers: Predictions

It's another away match for Bolton Wanderers, who have not won on their travels since January. Will this holiday fixture be any different?

The most notable news ahead of this Monday afternoon kickoff is that strike Adam Le Fondre is ineligible (on loan from Cardiff City an cannot play against his parent club) and Ben Amos is unavailable (loan deal expired and he has returned to Manchester United).  Other than that, not much to report.  Everyone involved with the club, from players to coaching staff to fans, seems to be anxious to get on with it and start the summer rebuild.  But the matches have to be played, and the teams have to be chosen, so here is what I would like to see Neil Lennon put out for Bolton Wanderers:

Adam Bogdan

Saidy Janko Matt Mills Paddy McCarthy Tim Ream

Filip Twardzik Josh Vela Barry Bannan Eidur Gudjohnsen Tom Walker

Emile Heskey

This probably won't happen, I know, but it is what I would like to see.  We are much more likely to see Neil Danns in the midfield, alongside someone like Liam Trotter, and Vela at right back.  There seems to be no point at this juncture of the season to playing Vela out of position.  He is obviously a talent, and a big part of our future, get him where he belongs.

It won't make a difference though.  As I say on the LOVPod, I think Cardiff will beat us 2-1.
