Bolton Wanderers will be hoping to put the embarrassing memories of nearly losing to Blackpool to bed today, with an away trip to Cardiff City.

Adam Bogdan makes a return to the Wanderers starting lineup today, with Ben Amos dropping out after impressing in recent matches and Andy Lonergan returning to the bench.

Wanderers' lead striker Adam Le Fondre is of course on-loan from today's opponents, so misses out, but Neil Lennon takes the attacking approach by naming three strikers in the starting eleven. Eidur Gudjohnsen is likely to sit in behind Emile Heskey and Craig Davies, who looked bright in the last couple of games since his return from injury but generally lacks the composure and finishing prowess to score goals.

That looks to have Bolton lining up in a 3-5-2 formation, with Josh Vela starting in midfield alongside Barry Bannan as Neil Danns drops to the bench. Paddy McCarthy also drops out of the side, with Saidy Janko coming back in to start in the right wing back role and the impressive Tom Walker set to play on the left flank.

Here's hoping the added 'strike power' can give Wanderers their first away win in nearly three months.

Hosts Cardiff have an impressive starting lineup, especially in midfield where the likes of Aron Gunnarsson and Peter Whittingham and the wideman Craig Noone will be a threat. One to watch for the Whites will be former Wanderers loanee Joe Mason coming off the bench.

Having been relegated from the Premier League last season the Welsh side have struggled to adapt at Championship level, and sit in 13th position six points ahead of Wanderers.
