Bolton Wanderers appear to be moving closer to securing their first summer transfer signing in the shape of 25 year old Spanish striker Sergi Enrich.

Not too much is known over here of the forward, but his statistics are impressive.

From humble beginnings in Ciutadella de Menorca, Minorca, Sergi Enrich Ametller began his career in impressive form, turning professional at Mallorca in 2008 as a fresh-faced 18 year old.

An impressive 30 goals in 83 games for their 'B' team saw him promoted to the first team in 2010. He failed to make too much of an impression, and was farmed out on loan to Recreativo and later Alcorcon in order to gain experience. His time at Recreativo was fairly average, and even poorer than that at Alcorcon.

It took a 2013 move to Numancia to reinvigorate his career, and the lad really did take the bull by the horns. A return of 23 goals in 63 outings, primarily in the Segunda División and it was here that he came to the attention of former Celtic boss Neil Lennon.

Most importantly, from our point of view, the Spaniard is out of contract in the coming weeks, and therefore presents an attractive proposition to the Whites' boss.
