Yes you are reading that title correctly - Bolton Wanderers have been linked with a defender from Real Madrid.
Along with the likes of Leicester City, Southampton, Watford, Nottingham Forest, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Burnley , the Whites are reportedly keen on Real Madrid defender Derik Osede according to the Daily Express.
The 22 year old currently plays under Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid Castilla, but his contract is up at the end of the season and has reportedly been told that his future lies away from the club.
Born in Madrid to a Nigerian father and a Spanish mother, Derik amde his debuts as a senior with the C-team in 2012. He was promoted to Castilla in time for the 2012 preseason, making his debut in October 2012, playing the full 90 minutes in a 0-1 away loss against Córdoba
The Spanish born central defender has recently been quoted as saying he is keen to become a Nigerian international whom he qualifies for through his father, although he has made several appearances for the Spanish U19 side. Osede is yet to make a first team appearances for Madrid and is believed to be keen on a move away from the Bernabeu in search for regular first team action.
I hope he's more Fernando Hierro and more Ivan Campo, and less Marcos Alonso.
