As reported in the Evening Express, Bolton Wanderers are apparently keen on making an offer for Aberdeen striker Niall McGinn.
The former Brentford and Glasgow Celtic forward has played 129 times for Aberdeen, scoring 42 goals
Neil Lennon knows McGinn well from his time as Celtic boss, as his fellow countryman played 28 times under his stewardship, scoring on four occasions. It has been said that Lennon has been keeping tabs on the player he let leave Parkhead in 2012.
Reports today have suggested that the English Championship club are weighing up a £500,000 move for the Northern Ireland international, with apparent interest from Leeds United aswell.
As well as being a striker, McGinn has previously played on the wing for both club and country, so could very well add some versatility to the Whites' front line.
But as we all know, any move that would cost the club a transfer fee probably won't happen.
A Bolton Wanderers spokesman today told the Evening Express that they do not comment on transfer speculation.
