As reported in the Sun this morning, Liverpool are set to move for Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Adam Bogdan.
It is thought that Brendan Rodgers will bring in the Whites' number one as backup to first choice Simon Mignolet.
Despite offering a rumoured £18k a week to keep Bogdan at the club, interest from a massive side like Liverpool surely confirms Bogdan's time at the Macron Stadium is up. I don't think anyone would begrudge Bogdan of moving, and for the better of his own career it would be in his best interests to move on.
Wanderers will now need to look for a first choice and a backup goalkeeper, with only Ross Fitzsimmons, Harry Campbell and William Jaaskelainen being the remaining 'keepers left at the club. All of whom have no first team experience.
Former Wanderers loanee Ben Amos will probably now be the first choice target to replace Bogdan. The Manchester United fourth choice impressed in his nine appearances and was nominated for Bolton player of the month for March.
