Bolton Wanderers' very own Sir Tim Ream impressed last night playing the full 90 minutes during USA's simple 1-0 Gold Cup victory over Haiti.
The St Louis native was brought back into the side by German manager Jurgen Klinsmann and did his chances of another runout in the next game absolutely no harm whatsoever.
He was quoted as telling MLSSoccer.com:
"It's been a while. It's been a long four years with the move over to Bolton.
It's all kind of come full circle now for me.
I'm enjoying playing, I'm enjoying being with this group and enjoy being at the Gold Cup again.
Returning following a two-year absence from the national team, Ream returned to the fold last year, having impressed (nearly) everyone with his performances in England, where he joined Bolton after two seasons with the New York Red Bulls.
Klinsmann was quoted by the same source:
"I think it took a little bit of time for Tim to get into that game,"
"Then, in the second half he was calm, he was controlled and played a good game.
It was difficult for him the first 20-25 minutes because they were all over the place. It was tough on our back line."
I think that counts as praise.
