French Goalkeeper Sacha Bastien was the new name on the team sheet as Bolton Wanderers XI fell to their first defeat of pre-season, losing 3-0 against Tamworth.
The 20-year-old played the second half conceding two of the three goals, but also making a ‘fantastic acrobatic save’.
Bastien was released by Ligue 1 side Stade de Reims earlier this summer and actually managed to make a first team appearance for them against Metz last season. Unfortunately for him, his debut was cut short after getting injured after 21 minutes and he wasn't seen again.
It’s unknown whether Lennon has brought him in with a view to being our backup keeper or whether it's purely one of Iain Brunskill’s recruits for the Development Squad, either way I’ll keep an eye on him if we do decide to sign him up.
