We have been informed tonight that Real Madrid Castilla starlet Derik Osede has arrived in England to undergo his medical tests with Bolton Wanderers.
22 year old Derik has left the club of his childhood in an attempt to forge his own path away from the hallowed halls of the Santiago Bernabeu, and it appears that Wanderers have beaten off competition from several English clubs for the signature including, if rumour be believed, Southampton, Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The medical tests are lined up for Saturday at a local hospital, with the lure and pull of first team football obviously being enough to win this particular signature.
Having started off his career as a youngster with Madrid-based club DAV Santa Ana, the 22-year-old moved to Real Madrid in 2002.7
Osede made his presence felt for Los Blancos' Under-10 side immediately and gradually rose through the ranks to make his debut for Real Madrid's C side, helping them return to the Segunda Division B in 2012.
The defender has also been part of the Real Madrid B team but has never managed an official game for their first team.
The money received for Alex Baptiste from Middlesbrough is being put to good use, I think we can all agree.
