Gold Cup 2015 Profile: Jamaica

New, comment

I think one thing we can all agree on is that Cool Runnings is one seriously good film. When it comes to it's football however, Jamaica takes things a lot more seriously and this is more evident in the Gold Cup than any other tournament.

Jamaica are Six-Time winners of the Caribbean Cup and to date have failed to deliver on the bigger stage of the Gold Cup, traditionally dominated by the powerhouses of Mexico and the United States of America. They have managed to finish third in the tournament and begin this year's campaign against Costa Rica on 8th July at the 'StubHub Arena.'

The side are most well known due to their qualification for the 1998 World Cup with their 'Reggae Boyz' generation including a young Wanderers cult hero Ricardo Gardner. The Reggae Boyz even rose to somewhat dizzy heights in the FIFA World Rankings managing their record high of 28th.

Their Group Fixtures are as follows:

July 8th: Costa Rica StubHub Arena

July 11th: Canada BBVA Compass Stadium

July 14th: El Salvador BMO Field

The Squad
