To go along side our predictions for the football season in general, the LoVS Team will also be giving their Bolton Wanderers predictions for the coming Championship season. And just like with the football predictions, come the end of this year we will see who did best.

Once again, Eddie is first up!

How do you see the season going?

Start the way we have for the best few seasons, and the season is already a write off. The only way Bolton can have a good year is if the bulk of the squad stays injury free. Especially Josh Vela, Mark Davies, Darren Pratley and Zach Clough. I think a mid table finish is the most we can expect, but a bit of stability and who knows?

Who will be our top goal scorer and why?

Our top goal scorer last season, Adam Le Fondre, only came on loan over half way through the season. So who's to say that won't happen again? Looking at the current squad we have, I'd go for Zach Clough. Six goals in ten games last season mean he'll start this year as the new number 10. There's a lot of pressure on his shoulders, although I'm sure Clough will thrive.

Who will be our best player and why?

I'll go with Ben Amos. The goalkeeper we captured from Manchester United was the clear fans choice to replace Adam Bogdan, and impressed in his nine appearances last season. We'll be starting the season without Derik, Wheater and Ream will probably be on the bench. So Amos is going to have to be at his very best. I'll also say Tim Ream as well. I've no doubt Mr Consistent will be a candidate again for best player.

Who will be our worst player and why?

The player that frustrated me the most last season with Liam Feeney. He could do something right, then two things wrong. Feeney has chipped in with a couple of goals pre-season, although his overall play has not improved. There were a few players last season who's form was mixed, like Neil Danns and Dorian Dervite. I don't really want any Bolton players to have a 'bad' game, but going off last season, those three are probably candidates for worst player.

Who will be booked the most?

If he stays, Jay Spearing. If not, Gary Madine or Derik. Madine, for his style of play he's going to pick up a few bookings along the way. Derik is new to the league and against Morecambe in pre-season he made a couple of rash challenges.

Who will get sent off the most?

Neil Danns or Dorian Dervite.

How many injuries will we have throughout the season?

Hopefully no serious injuries, but knowing Bolton, the whole squad will have a spell on the sidelines.

Will Neil Lennon still be our manager come the end of the season?

Provided Ranieri doesn't fuck things up too soon with Leicester, yes.

Will we still have Zach Clough come the end of the season?

Yes, I think so. Unless one of the bigger Prem teams makes an audacious offer. Especially Man City, as it's well known Clough was a childhood fan.

Which old, semi-legendary player will we sign in Winter?

Eidur's contract is up in November so who knows? He could return for a third spell. Someone who I'd love to see in a Wanderers shirt would be Nene, who was recently released by West Ham. I was a big fan during his time at PSG.

Where will we finish and why?

Mid table, provided we don't have any serious injuries. We could even sneak into the top half provided we stop conceding last minute goals. I think the play-offs are out of reach though, but add a proven goal scorer up front, and who knows? Although, any kind of improvement on last season would be an achievement. I'll say 13th.
