Francesco Pisano Joins Bolton Wanderers on a Free

Two signings in a day, what is this?!

In a no doubt desperate attempt to massacred the news that Bolton Wanderers have sold their best defender, Tim Ream, to Fulham for a measly fee, the Whites have taken to announcing not one, but two new signings.

After the arrival of Arsenal's Wellington Silva was finally confirmed, Wanderers wasted little time in announcing the signing of Italian right back Francesco Pisano, on a free transfer, of course.

The 29-year old, who's signed a two year deal at the Macron Stadium, has spent the entirety of his career to date in Serie A with Cagliari, but upon their relegation to Serie B he was released by the club - and that's when Bolton came in to bring him to England.

The full-back, who is renowned for his pace, bolsters Neil Lennon's options in defence and could be the key for the dreaded 3-5-2 formation finally working.

He had racked up well over 200 appearances in his nine years at the Sardinian club, scoring a single goal.

Like Silva, he goes straight into the squad and could make his debut against Dougie Freedman's Nottingham Forest this Saturday. We await word on his squad number.
