Bolton Wanderers have announced that youngster, Oscar Threlkeld, has joined Plymouth Argyle on loan until January.
The 21-year old defender who primarily a centre back, but has been seen more often at right back or even in midfield in recent times, joins the League Two side no doubt off the recommendation from team mate Andy Kellett, who enjoyed a successful three-month spell at Home Park last season.
Although Threlkeld has made eight appearances for the Wanderers first team, he does appear slightly down the pecking order behind the likes of Rob Holding, Quade Taylor, Alex Finney and Hayden White, although Threlkeld has been injured and only returned to the field, with the reserves, last week.
With Bolton bringing in reinforcements across the entirety of the defence this summer with the signings of Derik Osede, Prince-Désir Gouano, Lawrie Wilson, Francesco Pisano and the soon to be announced Jose Manuel Cadado, it's no surprise that Threlkeld has been loaned out to gain some much needed first team experience.
We wish Threlkeld the bets of luck down on the South coast, and hope he returns a better player!
