To go along side our predictions for the football season in general, the LoVS Team will also be giving their Bolton Wanderers predictions for the coming Championship season. And just like with the football predictions, come the end of this year we will see who did best.
Now it's Alastair's turn:
How do you see the season going?
Nothing spectacular. Mid table hopefully, not looking over our shoulder. Maybe if we retain our good players and find a second wind in January we could push up the table.
Who will be our top goal scorer and why?
Gary Madine, goal machine. He'll clear up the chances that we usually let slip. Clough will be a catalyst to create chances but Madine will put them away, I think.
Who will be our best player and why?
Vela, he's going to be reliable and a base to build from I hope. As long as he stays fit, I think he'll become undroppable.
Who will be our worst player and why?
You know who.
Who will be booked the most?
Pratley.
Who will get sent off the most?
Dervite performs a lot of last ditch tackles, I can see him mistiming a few of those.
How many injuries will we have throughout the season?
Less of the long term injuries than last season and more of the 2/3 week ones.
Will Neil Lennon still be our manager come the end of the season?
No, he'll be managing Leicester. To be honest if he doesn't get us into the play offs then his reputation will be damaged so it would make sense for him to jump ship before he starts to look like a Championship manager rather than a title winning one.
Will we still have Zach Clough come the end of the season?
Yes, but only just. I imagine our January window will be filled with articles about Clough being linked with a different club every day, like an advent calendar of misery.
Which old, semi-legendary player will we sign in Winter?
I want it to be Kevin Nolan so bad but I can see it being someone like Shaun Derry. Not a legend, I know.
Where will we finish and why?
13th. I'm not hopeful for a promotion push, but we won't be looking over our shoulder as long as we have a decent start.
