The football season is now only a few days away, and as such the LoVS writers have been tasked to put their credibility on the line and give their predictions for the year of football to come. Once the season is over and all the results are in, we'll gather them all up and see who did best!

In the latest batch of  our season predictions, it's the turn of Tom Molloy:

Championship Winners: Middlesbrough

Second Place: Derby County

Play-off winners: Brentford

Three relegated teams: Blackburn Rovers, Rotherham United and Huddersfield Town

Championship Top Goal Scorer: Zach Clough

Best Player: Stewart Downing

Surprise Team: Bolton Wanderers by virtue of us not going down

Three teams who'll gain promotion to the Championship: Wigan Athletic, Barnsley, Swindon Town
