The football season is now only a few days away, and as such the LoVS writers have been tasked to put their credibility on the line and give their predictions for the year of football to come. Once the season is over and all the results are in, we'll gather them all up and see who did best!

It's time Tom Wilson to stick his neck out:

Championship Winners: I definitely fancy Middlesbrough to top the table this year.

Second Place: QPR.

Play-off winners: Wolves.

Three relegated teams: MK Dons, Rotherham and Charlton.

Championship Top Goal Scorer: Probably one of Wolves' players, hopefully Le Fondre.

Best Player: Gotta be the man they call Zach Clough.

Surprise Team: Wolves.

Three teams who'll gain promotion to the Championship: Sheffield United, Wigan Athletic (sigh) and Peterborough.

-

Premier League Winners: Chelsea.

2nd, 3rd, 4th: United, Arsenal and City.

Three relegated teams: Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Newcastle United.

Top goal scorer: AgueroooOOOOOOOOOO.

Best player: Eden Hazard.

New signing who will flop: Bastian Schweinsteiger. I dearly hope I'm wrong, though.

New signing who will succeed: Memphis Depay.

Surprise Team: Crystal Palace.

-

Champions League Winner: Bayern Munich.

Runner Up: Barcelona.

Top Goal scorer: Lionel Messi.

La Liga Winners: Barcelona.

Bundesliga Winners: Hear me out lads, I reckon Bayern Munich could do it this year.

Serie A Winners: Juventus.

Ligue 1 Winners: PSG.

Eredivise Winners: PSV.

Who'll score more, Messi or Ronaldo?: Messi.

Your own bonus prediction: A non-Premier League team will win either the League Cup or FA Cup.
