Sort-of-Immediate Reaction: Huddersfield Town 4-1 Bolton Wanderers

Well that was shit

Bolton Wanderers took their fantastic four game unbeaten run across the Pennines to Huddersfield earlier today where they met the latterly mentioned Huddersfield Town in a game that was classed as 'one of those'.

I am only really being so dismissive as tonight I was meant to be out celebrating my wedding anniversary, but seeing as someone forgot to post their immediate reaction piece it is incumbent to me to get summat posted godammit!

Despite an early goal from Liam Feeney, goal machine, Bolton laboured for much of the afternoon and can thank former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Amos for keeping the score at a respectable level.

Wanderers boss Neil Lennon came out after the game demanding that the club make signings - it's time that Big Philly G began to earn his £410k annual salary and sign some fucking footballers.

It's all well and good having a Ferrari on your drive, but what's the point if the engine is nicked from a Lada? Bolton Wanderers are the perfect example of something being alright on the surface, but deep down there is a tumult growing and it's anti-Gartside. Eddie Davies came in for grief online today and for the first time, perhaps ever, I find myself in agreement.

Bolton Wanderers are official going nowhere at the moment - and that's despite the best efforts of the coaching team.

If the top brass are unwilling to change for the sake of the team, then let's change the top brass. Whether that's Davies or Gartside, or both leaving then so be it - Bolton Wanderers is more important than the ego/egos of some overbaked cockwombles.

I love Bolton, I don't love the powers-that-be.
