The loan window open today, allowing all those football league clubs who didn't get all their transfer business done during the three month long transfer window to plug the gaps with the youth players of Premier League clubs or forgotten relics who you had no idea were still playing.
Bolton Wanderers are one such club, as the summer transfer window closed with out us acquiring another striker, Neil Lennon will have to work hard within his very limited means to try and bring a goalscorer in - otherwise it will be a very long season for the Whites.
However, it does seem like Lennon has already started in his quest to bolster our attacking options and it's heavily rumoured that Crystal Palace attacker, Sullay Kaikai, will come to the Macron Stadium on loan.
The London club are looking to ship a lot of the deadwood like Johnny Williams (who is actually very good) and former Wanderer Paddy McCarthy (another ex Bolton player joining Wigan!), to try and clear some wages after a summer of heavy spending.
However, Kaikai is a player they want to loan out for a different reasons. They want the 20-year old winger, whom they rate very highly, to go and get some much needed first team football and experience.
The Surrey Mirror, amongst others, are reporting that Bolton will be that club.
Being highly rated, a product of the Crystal Palace academy and earning positive reviews from loan spells at Crawley Town and Cambridge United does offer excitement. Although, however good Kaikai may be out wide, he still ins't the answer to our painstakingly lack of strikers.
We still need one. Desperately.
