A reeported in the Sheffield Star, Bolton Wanderers are set to compete with Sheffield United to sign Millwall defender Byron Webster.

The article states:

"Sheffield United and Bolton Wanderers could be set to battle it out for Millwall’s Byron Webster during the January transfer window.

Chris Wilder’s side are thought to retain an interest in signing the defender after having bids, reportedly worth £250,000 and £500,000, rejected by the London club earlier this term. But Wanderers, managed by Wilder’s former Southampton team mate Phil Parkinson, have also been monitoring Webster’s situation at The Den in recent weeks and will enter the race for his services if Millwall’s hierarchy decide to sell."

Webster, 29, has been with Millwall since 2014, having previously played for Yeovil Town as well as a number of other teams.

So, what do we think? Would another former Millwall player be a good addition to the team? Let us know in the comments box below.
