Bolton Wanderers v Blackburn Rovers - Premier League Photo by Clive Brunskill/Getty Images

Name: D. Manny Rd

Age: Twenty-something (still)

Medical history: Multiple heartbreaks, emotional distress, physical exhaustion, depression, anxiety, mental scarring, phobia of Wembley Stadium, flashbacks of conceding late goals, episodes of mania, irrational and incurable infatuation with Lawrie Wilson

Diagnosis: a lifelong Bolton Wanderers fan

Prescription: a dose of Phil Parkinson, to be taken twice weekly.

Side affects may include; clean sheets, early goals, reignited careers, promotion hunts, Mark Beevers, excessive positivity, memories of Bruce Rioch, derby wins, smiling at the neighbours, talking to the Mrs on a Saturday night.

I'm running out of ways to get excited about Bolton Wanderers at the minute.

We're not storming the league, we may end up in a play-off battle.

I don't care.

We lost at Peterborough.

struck back with two wins and two clean sheets.

We're a new football club on the pitch.

We could very soon be a new club off it (watch this space).

I can't help but get excited.

Keep doing what you're doing, Whites.

As the song on the terraces reminds us, we're Bolton Wanderers, we're on our way back.
