According to The Sun, Premier League side Everton are keen on signing Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Jake Turner.
The article states:
"EVERTON like Bolton’s England youth keeper Jake Turner — and could use a family tie to lure him to the club.
The 17-year-old ace is already on the Wanderers bench and the Goodison club are tracking him closely to groom him as a future No 1.
They have a major asset on their side as his sister, Millie, is at the club and starring in midfield for the Everton Ladies.
Turner is a scholar at Bolton and they are unable to sign him as a pro because of complex Football League embargo rules.
But that is also encouraging Everton, as they could snap him up for less."
Jake Turner has recently made the step up to the Wanderers bench, due to the absence of first choice 'keeper Mark Howard. Turner has also recently made his debut for the England U18s. He kept a clean sheet in a draw against France at the start of the month.
So, after being linked with one England international goalkeeper in the Summer in Joe Hart, it seems they're now interested in a potential future England number one in Turner.
What do you make of this? How much would you take for Turner? Let us know in the comments box below.
