As reported in The Sun, Bolton Wanderers are leading the race to sign Liverpool youngster Cameron Brannagan on loan.

The article states that the young midfielder will be allowed to leave on loan in January.

Brannagan, 20, can play in a number of positions, with his preferred position being an advanced midfield role.

The young starlet made his Liverpool debut last season, coming on as a substitute in a Europa League match against Bordeaux. Brannagan went on to play nine times last season in all competitions, but hasn't played for Liverpool yet this season.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp holds Brannagan in high regard, having previously described him as a 'unbelievable talent'. Klopp has also previously stated: “For his age he brings everything you need for a midfield player he wants to play football, he's strong, he's clear, he's cool.”

Brannagan nearly moved to Wigan Athletic on loan in the Summer. However, the Latics pulled out of the deal over Liverpool's demands that the youngster plays in at least 75% of their matches. The Liverpool echo reported that Wigan would have had to pay a six figure fee if Brannagan didn't get the amount of game time they wanted.

So, do you think Cameron Brannagan would be a good addition to Wanderers' squad?

Do Bolton have room for another attacking midfielder with Josh Vela playing the best football of his career?
