After last Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Chesterfield, Bolton Wanderers will look to get back to winning ways at home to Shrewsbury Town. The Shrews are currently in the bottom four and will come to the Macron in confident form, having won their last two games in the league. Although, Bolton will be seen as favourites and look to make it seven league wins in a row at home. A win for Wanderers could see them close the gap to leaders Scunthorpe United to just a point, whilst a win for Shrewsbury would see them jump out of the relegation places. Bolton have won their last five games against Shrewsbury, the last being a 3-1 in the League Cup back in August 2013.
Team News
Bolton Wanderers could welcome back Darren Pratley and Max Clayton, both of whom have made progress with long term injuries. Dorian Dervite, Mark Howard and Mark Davies remain sidelined. Phil Parkinson will more than likely name an unchanged side for Boxing Day. Meanwhile, Shrewsbury will be boosted by the news that striker AJ Leitch-Smith could return. However, Northern Ireland international Ryan McGivern will definitely miss out with a shoulder injury.
