Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year from all at Lion of Vienna Suite

It has been quite the year for Bolton Wanderers.

We've had a relegation, a takeover, an almost-administration party, new signings, new sponsors, new owners and we lost Liam Feeney to Blackburn Rovers.

It has also been quite the year for this little old website too. Some great stories, some crap stories, some clickbait dickheadishness but more often than not we've had interesting and debate-worthy blogs from our talented team.

We've had over 1 million views, an average of two posts per day and we cracked the 5,000 twitter follower mark.

So thank you to all the readers, even you, Ben Moore. Hope you got that Furby mate.

To the writers, thank you also. You are all heroes of this particular revolution.

Finally, thank you to Phil Parkinson and his Bolton Wanderers team. Even Gary Madine. You have turned around what was an annus horribilis and given us a bright future to look forward to.

2016 was a dark footnote in our history, but I remain fully confident that 2017 will see us on the rise again.
