Bolton Wanderers 1-2 Burnley: Men (that's MEN) of the Match

In a break from tradition, we have a joint award tonight

Bolton Wanderers may well have had a poor result at home to Burnley, but they can be proud of their general performance - well, for an hour.

I've decided to take a break from the regular format of the MOTM article tonight in recognising the performances of two Wanderers.

I don't especially rate Liam Feeney, but he was excellent today.

The former Blackburn Rovers man is the world's most annoying and frustrating winger, who sometimes uses his workrate to mask his other deficiencies. Today he worked hard for the cause, and had the beating of two excellent fullbacks.

His final ball was somewhat lacking at times, but I give equal blame to him and the forwards there.

The other award is to Derik Osede. The former Real Madrid man has struggled to break into the first team this season, but looked really capable and assured alongside Rob Holding.

Wanderers have had shocking defenders of late. Dorian Dervite, Zat Knight et al have brought tears to my eyes. Derik's performance against Burnley was virtually flawless. For someone who is not blessed with the greatest height, nor the quickest turn of pace, he used all his guile and skill to turn in a really impressive game.

Well done both.
