This season has been fucking shit.
I make no apologies for my manky language ladies, it is what it is. We've had the likes of Dorian Dervite and David Wheater stink the arse out of our defence for far too long.
But....and there's always a but.....has Bolton Wanderers found itself with a decent central defensive partnership?
As all Neil Lennon decisions go, it was happened upon by complete accident, but I am starting to think that Derik Osede and Rob Holding could well be the real deal.
A mixture of brains and beauty, Holding's elegance is complemented nicely by the former Real Madrid man's willingness to fuck the ball miles away from danger.
Derik's lack of height is complemented by Holding's aerial dominance. That said, Derik gives as good as he gets in the air.
So it is with regret that we head inexorably towards League One - but it isn't the end of the world.
We might, for the first time in years, have a decent central defensive partnership on our hands, if we can keep both at the club, that is.
