News is breaking tonight via friend of the site Marc Iles that Bolton Wanderers' speedy winger Liam Feeney is about to leave the club, heading to Championship bores Ipswich Town on loan.
Feeney, a polarising figure amongst supporters, is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with moves away from Bolton in the last two transfer windows.
Whilst undoubtedly a very hard worker and someone capable of playing very effectively for the side, Feeney has found criticism for his inconsistency and the quality of his final ball.
What will be missed however will be his endeavour both in attack and in defence. There can be no doubt that it'll leave Bolton Wanderers with a much weaker attacking outlook in open play and in terms of the counter attack.
I should think that the cost cutting won't end there, and we'll be seeing more first-teamers leave the club on loan before the window closes at he end of March.
I've had my issues with Feeney but of course wish him well in his new surroundings and appreciate all his efforts whilst wearing the white shirt.
