A Season in Statistics Player-By-Player: Dean Moxey

The latest in our series of player statistics sees us turn the microscope on left-back Dean Moxey

Trusty left-back Dean Moxey has seen more goals conceded than any other Bolton Wanderers player this season, having racked up the fifth most game time.

Appearances - 33

The former Crystal Palace man made 33 appearances this season, racking up the fifth most game time with 2939 minutes. Jose Manuel Casado was brought in as competition for the left-back role, but failed to adapt to the English game, although Moxey was ousted towards the end of the season by youngster Tyler Garrett.

Goals Conceded - 69 (2.1 per game)

The tally of 69 goals conceded means Bolton let in 2.1 goals per game Moxey took part in - the second most of any player that has played ten games or more.

Review

In those 33 appearances Wanderers have collected just 19 points, but that 1.1 point per game record is the second most of any Bolton player this season - behind only Ben Amos.

Points won per game - 1.1, the second highest average of all Bolton's outfield players, who have played more than three games

Pass completion rate - 67.1%

Assists - 5, the most of any Bolton player this season

Bookings - 7

Red cards - 0

Overall Season Performance - D

It's probably time for Moxey to move on after another generally poor season. Despite having the most assists at the club all season, his defensive deficiencies have been obvious ever since he joined the club. He's likely on decent wages that we cannot afford next season, so I'd like to see him leave the club.
