A Season in Statistics Player-By-Player: Tyler Garrett

Tyler's turn

Here we are. It's the summer and we are looking back at each and every player who made an appearance for Bolton Wanderers during the 2015/16 season.

Next on the list is our young left-back Tyler Garrett.

Appearances - 3(1)

I must confess that I hadn't heard of Tyler Garrett before the Cardiff City game. I mean I'd seen his name in the course of my work as researcher for Bolton Wanderers in the Football Manager series, but other than that I was stumped. I mean he doesn't even have a Wikipedia page.

Minutes Played - 236

Garrett made his debut away at Cardiff City - a game in which he was named out of the blue as a substitute. He came on after 34 minutes to replace Niall Maher who had been sent off for a terrible elbow to the head of Craig Noone. In his three other performances he was tidy and solid which hints at a decent player.

Goals Conceded - 3 (1 per game)

In comparison to some of his other team mates he can be very proud of his record in the team. We may only have won one of his three games in the side but he certainly didn't let anyone down.

Points won per game - 1

Bookings - 0

Red cards - 0

Overall Season Performance - C+

It's hard to properly judge a player from such a short period, but initial impressions are good - Garrett looks a neat and tidy left back and we've certainly struggled in that position arguably since the days of Simon Charlton. I am glad he's been given a new contract and look forward to seeing how he develops.
