Januzaj's mate, a Romanian Juve reject and a Nutt-er

It sounds like the opening line to a bad joke, but could be the first step towards new Wanderers signings...

New Bolton Wanderers boss Phil Parkinson seems to be making strides towards usurping the travesty that is Paul Rachubka being the club's most recent permanent signing (on 5 September 2015).

In what sounds like the ingredients of a bizarre joke, the former Bradford man appears to have offered trials to a mate of Manchester United whizzkid Adnan Januzaj, an unknown former Juventus youngster, and some random young English striker.

First up is Jonathan Kindermans, a Belgian attacking midfielder / winger who came through the ranks at Anderlecht without making a first-team appearance and, more importantly, is Januzaj's best mate, apparently. The 21-year-old has most recently been playing at Dutch second tier side RKC Waalwijk, where he's now out of contract having scored twice in 17 games this season. He also scored six goals in 31 appearances on loan at Telstar last season.

We've had a poke around the Internet, and found this nifty finish:

Apparently joining Kindermans on trial is Romanian winger Constantin Sandu, not to be confused with his classical pianist namesake. Sandu apparantly came through the ranks at Italian giants Juventus before joining the Inspire Football Academy, which aims to give young footballers that have been turned away from clubs a second chance. Any other information about Sandu is very short in supply online - other than a page that suggests he's actually Moldovan.

The final player reportedly on trial at the club is young Hertfordshire-based striker Jarvis Nutt. Again there's not much information about him online, but he appears to have made an appearance for Aylesbury United last season and scored twice for Hertfordshire Boys as they defeated Essex Boys in an FA County Youth Cup third round clash in November.

All three are reportedly set to join up with the Bolton side for their first pre-season game against Atherton Collieries this weekend. And you can stay fully informed on that match with us, as our 2016/17 coverage kicks into gear this weekend.

Now, just remember the day that Januzaj's mate, a former Juve kid and the Nutt-er walked into a bar...
