it feels quite strange awarding the man of the match award to a member of the Bolton Wanderers defence, especially when they've conceded four goals to a League Two, and bloody Blackpool at that, but Mark Beever is just very good. Alex Finney and Jamie Proctor ran Beevers close last night, but the big centre half gets my vote.
It was my first time seeing Beevers play, and I was very impressed. Commanding, good in the air, good pace and solid organisational skills were all on show. He looks like an upgraded David Wheater, which makes me question why we've re-signed Wheats.
He talked young Finney through the game, and the two looked good alongside one another. He covered for Moxey when the latter had pushed on. How his defence conceded 4 goals, I don't know.
And so, for the second time in four days, Mark Beevers gets the man of the match award. I don't think it'll be his last either.
