Like buses, Bolton Wanderers have followed the news that Conor Wilkinson has left the club to join Chesterfield with the revelation that academy product Tom Walker has also left, this time to join Bury on a season-long loan deal.
Walker, 20, was born in Salford and made his debut in January 2015 under the managership of Neil Lennon.
He scored his first ever senior goal for Bolton with the opening goal in their 1-1 draw against Wigan Athletic in March of the same year.
A tricky player who never quite pinned down a regular place in the starting 11, Walker will no doubt go on to be the best player in the history of Bury Football Club.
With a couple of hours left in the transfer window, and with Kaiyne Woolery rumoured to be heading to Wigan Athletic, it is shaping up to be a busy last few hours at Bolton Wanderers.
