I still cannae believe the events of transfer deadline day. 5 new players in with 3 fringe players making way. Bolton Wanderers welcomed new boys: Sammy Ameobi, James Henry, Keshi Anderson, Ben Alnwick and Tom Thorpe. Just how this might change us is a separate article in the offing, but here's hoping the can help continue the good start we've enjoyed. We also come up against the perma-tanned perennial Wanderers manager candidate, Phil Brown. Brown was heavily linked with the job and pretty obviously wanted it. Eventually when his own team's form went down the crapper he was forced to abandon dreams of such a lofty position.
Team News
Bolton Wanderers
Well where to begin here? Mark Davies is now out for the season following his injury at Charlton Athletic. Zach Clough remains unlikely following persistent injuries. Elsewhere Jamie Proctor should recover from illness that afflicted him against the Everton's youth team. We do now have 5 shiny new players, all of whom could make their debuts. Most likely we'll see Anderson from the bench, Ameobi and Henry to get starts and Thorpe and Alnwick to have to wait for another day.
Southend United
They managed some deadline day business of their own by signing Crystal Palace central defender Ryan Inniss on a season long loan. The defender was said to be destined for great things after appearing on the scene as a teenager and has enjoyed previous loans at this level.

Prediction
I'm quite confident about this one given the contrasting forms of both teams. That said we have a lot of new players which might shake up a settled team. I'll say 3-1 to the Wanderers but I'm wary if too much gets changed.
