Transfer Gossip: Bolton Wanderers in talks to sign Monaco striker

Could Bolton be about to bolster their striking options?

According to French football site Foot Mercato, Bolton Wanderers are in talks to sign AS Monaco striker Quentin N'Gakoutou.

The site states (a rough translation):

''Quentin N'Gakoutou (22) is also likely to leave the Rock this winter. According to our information, the Bolton club is interested in his profile. Ready or dry transfer, discussions are continuing on this subject between the different parties. Stay tuned...''

It would seem N'Gakoutou is set to join up with Wanderers' squad on an initial trial basis.

N'Gakoutou, born in Bangui, Central African Republic, is a youth product from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco, where he has been since 2011. Whilst he has yet to appear for Monaco, N'Gakoutou does have plenty of experience playing in Ligue 2 for AC Arles-Avignon and FC Evian.

N'Gakoutou went on loan to FC Evian last season, scoring three goals in nineteen league games.

N'Gakoutou also had a short spell in Switzerland with FC Lausanne-Sport in 2015, playing seven times in Switzerland's second division.

Here's a video showing N'Gakoutou playing for FC Evian last season.
