Welcome to Episode 2 of 'Let's Say Something Nice About'. This is a week-long series in which I take a look at players who have disappointed me in the past and maybe set about looking at them with a fresh set of eyes.

Yesterday was Gary Madine's turn - now it's that of our esteemed captain, Darren Pratley.

Arriving from Swansea City when they were a Championship club and Bolton Wanderers being of the Premier League, Pratley has brought a boundless energy to the club since joining back in 2011 and is coming up on 150 appearances for the club.

His particular brand of midfield graft is always appreciated by a proportion of the fanbase, and his popularity with managers has meant that he has been either a temporary or permanent captain across three different Bolton bosses to date.

Capable of playing anywhere across the midfield four, Pratley is versatile and this makes him an important squad member in the modern game.

Darren, on behalf of the fans, we thank you for your efforts.
