Could Irish striker Eoin Doyle be on his way to the Macron?

According to reports in The Sun, Bolton Wanderers could be set to sign Preston North End striker Eoin Doyle.

The article states:

"PRESTON are poised to step up their efforts to land Robbie Keane today by moving Eoin Doyle out on loan.

Preston boss Simon Grayson has admitted his interest in signing Ireland’s record goalscorer and caps holder.

He faces competition from Championship leaders Brighton and Premier League basement side Sunderland.

But Grayson will make room for Keane at Deepdale by sending Doyle to either Bolton or Portsmouth until the end of the season.

Keane, 36, is a free agent following his release by LA Galaxy late last year and has made it clear that his next move will be a return to England, where he last played in 2011 during a loan spell at Aston Villa."

I wouldn't mind Robbie Keane for Bolton, but Eoin Doyle could be a very shrewd signing.

Doyle, 28, has had spells with Cardiff City, Hibernian and Chesterfield, the latter of which he scored 21 goals in 26 games during the 2014/2015 season.

Would Eoin Doyle be a good signing for Bolton? Let us know in the comments box below.
