This might be sentimental but who cares. I'm allowed to be sentimental when I run the place.
After being written off (by me, on more than one occasion) as a crock who doesn't have a future at the club, Max Clayton popped up in the last minute today and struck home an equaliser earning Bolton Wanderers what could be a vital away point in the 2-2 draw with Coventry City.
Following the best part of two years on the shelf, Clayton could have been forgiven for taking the easy route, collecting his insurance and calling it a day.
However, to fight back from injury after injury to return to the first team and to make such an impact as he did yesterday is testament to his strength of character and I am really chuffed for the lad.
I hope he proves me wrong and comes back stronger than ever - we could have a right good player on our hands if he does.
Well done Max and keep up the good work!
