It's here.
Bolton Wanderers v Crystal Palace in the FA Cup. A famous competition to be sure - and a game that we are all excited for.
However, there is no way at all that Bolton fans couldn't have been excited when, on 23rd December, Alan Pardew was replaced by none other than Sam Allardyce.
Ex-player and ex-manager, Big Sam is revered amongst the majority of Wanderers fans and it will be fantastic to see him back at the ground where he gave us so many great memories over the years.
His Palace team are struggling in the Premier League at the moment, and it remains to be seen what sort of team they will be bringing to the game - but you have to think that their focus will certainly not be on his particular tie. League survival is everything to the Premier League and Palace are no different.
Wanderers head into the game on the back of a 2-2 draw away at Coventry City. Zach Clough and Max Clayton scored the goals as we snatched a point from the jaws of defeat.
That sort of team spirit is great to see, and despite the loss of Sammy Ameobi who has gone back to Newcastle United Wanderers will be full of confidence.
Danger men for Palace? Well it's a fair guess that our old mate Lee Chung Yong will make an appearance, whilst I always thought Fraizer Campbell was a dangerous opponent. The rest....much of a muchness, as far as I can see.
The likes of Christian Benteke and Wilfried Zaha are likely to be rested, which should give us a great chance.
I really fancy us to win and to progress. Let's hope the lads can play like they can.
COYWM.
