FA Cup Man of the Match - Bolton Wanderers 0-0 Crystal Palace - JAMES HENRY

He's finally becoming the player we thought we were getting

So it's taken six months but finally we are getting the James Henry that we thought we'd signed back in August.

He was brilliant against Crystal Palace yesterday in the FA Cup game at the Reebok. Dynamic in attack and very much willing to do the dirty work tracking back, Henry was everywhere.

Yes....I agree he should've scored, but he put himself in those positions and didn't hide when they didn't go in.

This is the player that I wanted to see.

I think the loss of Sammy Ameobi will benefit Henry in two ways - 1) he knows he is going to get a game and so will derive confidence from that, and 2) he knows that he is one of our main men. Stepping down a league in the way he has would've been a knock to anyone's ego and the renewed faith we are showing in him will give him an added spring in his step.

Yesterday was a great performance and I suspect we are going to get a good few more between now and the end of the season.

He's a real Bolton Wanderers player.
