As reported in today’s Sunday Sun, Bolton Wanderers are interested in a loan deal for Manchester City youngster Isaac Buckley-Ricketts, who is currently on loan at FC Twente in The Netherlands.
The article from The Sun states:
“MANCHESTER CITY are set to pull the plug on England Under-20 star Isaac Buckley-Ricketts’ loan move to Dutch side FC Twente.
The striker, 19, went to Holland on a season-long loan in the summer.
But he has not played as much as he or Etihad chiefs would have liked.
And it means City are set to review the move in January and possibly find Buckley-Ricketts a club in the Championship.
Struggling Bolton are very keen to snap up the versatile wide man.
The Trotters believe he would add pace and threat to their attack and hope they might be able to seal a deal in the New Year.”
Isaac Buckley-Ricketts, 19, is one of a number of talented youngsters currently at City, alongside players like Phil Foden and Brahim Díaz.
Comfortable on the wing or up front, England U20 international Buckley-Ricketts has only played five times for Twente, and it looks like if he is recalled, then Wanderers head the front of the queue to sign him.
Wanderers probably don’t need any more wingers, so Buckley-Ricketts would be used more as a striker.
