Bolton Wanderers Planning ‘Legends’ 5-a-side Event

Whilst things on the pitch have been pretty disastrous, it seems that Bolton Wanderers are trying to bring a bit of sunshine and happiness to the lives of us, the long suffering Wanderers supporters, with word reaching my ears that the final touches are being applied to what will be the first ever club legends 5-a-side event.

With an official announcement believed to be in the offing, Wanderers have perhaps realised that all we have now is our memories, and I don’t know about you, but I could do with some cheering up.

No word yet on who might take part in the event which, I would guess, would take place in the Bolton Arena, but the mind races with possibilities.

Icons such as. Kevin Davies, Okocha, Campo, Djorkaeff and Jussi Jaaskelainen would surely be on most fan wishlists, whilst it is believed the Reebok Roar have already started a thread about Jay Spearing calling for his inclusion.

Obviously more on this as news comes out, but it would surely make a nice change to watch a Bolton side and actually have a bit of fun.
