A statement from Fylde’s official site stated:
“AFC Fylde have taken promising goalkeeper James Aspinall on work experience from Bolton Wanderers.
The 18-year-old, who hails from Chorley, has come through the Academy ranks at Bolton and is currently in his second year as a scholar.
Aspinall has featured for both the Under-18s and the Development Squad this term, saving a penalty earlier in the season in a victory over Charlton Athletic. The young stopper was also included in the first team squad during pre-season.
Aspinall will be available to manager Dave Challinor for tomorrow’s trip to Maidenhead United.”
AFC Fylde are currently 19th in the National League, having gained promotion from the National League North last season.
Aspinall hasn’t been the only youngster to depart Wanderers on loan this week. Matthew Fearnley and Luca Navarro have joined Atherton Collieries, Ryan White has joined Glossop North End and Cameron Moore has joined Charnock Richard.
All loans are work experience, so all the players will still be available Wanderers’ youth sides.
