Transfer Gossip: Sunderland linked with January swoop for Bolton Wanderers' Gary Madine

Big Gaz is in demand (apparently)

According to The Sunderland echo, Bolton Wanderers top goalscorer Gary Madine is a potential January target for Sunderland.

The article from the echo states:

"Bolton Wanderers striker Gary Madine is understood to be on Sunderland's January radar. Cash-strapped Sunderland will be severely limited financially in the transfer market and Coleman knows he will have to box clever when the January window opens.

The striking department is one area Coleman will look to strengthen, especially if Bournemouth recall Lewis Grabban."

With six goals this season, Madine has been a vital part of Wanderers' relegation fight. Despite his recent off field troubles, losing Madine would be a big blow to Bolton.

This rumour follows another one from earlier this week that Josh Vela was being watched by Brighton, Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County.

What would it take for you to sell Madine? Bare in mind he has eighteen months to run on his current deal.

Be prepared for more rumours, although I highly doubt a Newcastle lad would be up for a move to the Mackems.
