After last weekend's comeback to claim a 2-2 draw away at Bradford City, Bolton Wanderers head to Bramall Lane this Saturday to take on top of the league Sheffield United. Wanderers will be looking to get the win to cut the seven point gap between themselves and The Blades. Bolton have already beaten Sheffield United twice this season: A 1-0 win on the opening day of the season, as well as a 3-2 win in the FA Cup 2nd Round.
Wanderers will also be hoping to make it five games unbeaten in the league.
Bolton's last visit to Bramall Lane was way back in November 2006, when both teams were in the Premier League. The game ended 2-2, with Wanderers finishing the season 7th and qualifying for the UEFA Cup. Sheffield United were relegated.
It's Bolton vs Sheffield, Gary Madine vs Billy Sharp. Round 3.
Team News
Sheffield United will be without defender Joe Riley (not our former player) as the player dislocated his shoulder in training. Leon Clarke remains sidelined with an ankle injury.
Wanderers will be without the suspended Jay Spearing. Chris Long and Andrew Taylor face late fitness tests, whilst Reece Wabara is still not fully match fit. Mark Howard could be recalled to the starting line-up against his former side.
